My experience on the Provine High School Robotics Team has been a big impact on me. As a freshman last year, I didn’t know anything about robots to start with. I was nervous to join but I’m glad I did. As the time went by, I learned more and more about FIRST and its contents. Participating in FIRST games and building the robot, has been a great experience for me these past 2 years. As I look back at all I experienced. After my first year on the robotics team, I learned a lot but the main thing I learned was Gracious Professionalism is part of FIRST and a part of everyday life. It’s a way of doing things that encourages high-quality work, emphasizes the value of others, and respects individuals and the community. In the long run, Gracious Professionalism is part of pursuing a meaningful life. As I went into the New Orleans regional competition, I was nervous that all our hard work wouldn’t be appreciated. But in the end, we left New Orleans as the regional winners have also learned some key values this year such as leadership and teamwork that could also help at the competition. As I continue to be on the robotics team, I have discovered how interesting and rewarding the life of engineers and researchers can be.

My experience on the Rambunctious Ram Robotics Team this year has been very exciting and somewhat of a challenge. This is my third year on the Robotics Team, there are many things that I’ve learned in this experience with the team; I learned how to work with others and cooperate with others to. This year I have learned many things about Engineering and the hard work that is needed. The most important thing that I’ve learned from the Robotics team this year is that without teamwork you cannot accomplish anything and that there is not an “I” in team.

My name is Terrence K. and I am a first time member of the Rambunctious Rams. This year is a difficult year for me because I don’t have the knowledge and experience of the other members. I am working my very hardest to over come this obstacle by observing the information very quickly
